St. Philip Neri

One night before tucking my youngest into bed, my son asked me if I could paint him a painting.  We were talking about what he might want and I had mentioned that we should look up St. Philip.  Oliver’s middle name is Philip.  My husband and I chose this name to honor both my dad and my grandfather as they are both named Philip.  However, it is funny how God always knows best and is always in the mix!  Upon researching St. Philip Neri, I realized that he was said to have two favorite books.  He often walked around with a Bible and a joke book.  St. Philip Neri is also the patron saint of joy and laughter.  If you would meet my little Oliver Philip, you would just giggle.  Oliver is the funniest little boy that is often known to walk around with his Kindle in hand.. with two books always downloaded on it, the Bible and a joke book!  St. Philip Neri, pray for us!
