Jesus (Prints)

Often times, I think to myself of how my faith might be different today if I was able to watch The Chosen when I was a kid.  Growing up, I didn’t really connect to the scriptures and often thought of them as boring.  What would it have been like to have the stories depicted before us like they are in this artistic representation? 

So, when painting Jesus I had to paint the image of Jonathan Roumie who plays Jesus in “The Chosen”.  In this image I wanted to show Jesus as the light amongst the darkness.  By following Jesus, I have seen joy and light amongst any suffering that I might have.  This is why it was important to have this painting to be colorful.  Jesus wants you to know that he sees you and he is the light!
